How to contact college coaches to express interest in playing for them?
Q. How to contact college coaches to express interest. I am in my first year of college but am considering using this year off to work on my game and transfer next year to a smaller school to play basketball. How to contact college coaches to express interest? What is the most effective way to word my email and what information should be included? I had offers from tiny schools coming out of high school but didnt accept because I took the academic route. But now I want both.

Is there a contact that actually changes the shape of the lens in your eye?
Q. A friend told me that there is a type of contact on the market now that you wear overnight. Then in the morning you can take it out, and the contact has actually temporarily changed the shape of your eye. So, as long as you wore the contact long enough while sleeping, you don't need to wear it at all during the day and you can see perfectly. If you know about this can you please provide a link to more information.

A. Yes - they are called Ortho-K. I've had mine for about a year and are brilliant. The great thing about them is that, unlike surgery, the effect is totally reversible.

How many times do you replace your contact lenses case?
Q. I'm new to wearing contacts, and I often read that contact lenses case should be replaced every 3 months to prevent contamination. I plan to take very good care of my contacts, with cleaning and storing them, etc., so hopefully, that means I don't have to keep replacing the case. If you're a contact lenses wearer, please tell me how often you replace yours, and if you have had any problems by using the case for more than 3 months. Thanks.

A. I have never had to replace the case.. The lenses you do need to replace (Amount of time varies by the type of contacts and your eyes) I just replace them if they start to get uncomfortable.

Do contact lenses work differently if flipped the other way?
Q. I have soft contact lenses (and basically 99.9% of people who have contact lenses have soft contact lenses, hopefully). Since contact lenses can be flipped inside out if you know what I mean... My question is... Do contact lenses work differently if I flip them the other way and then put them on, or should the contact lens affect my eye the same no matter which side is in contact with my eye?

A. I have soft contact lenses too! They definitely work differently flipped the other way. I accidentally put my lenses in the wrong way last night and when I blinked, they moved, it felt like they were trying to come out. It felt super weird and I just had to take them out. It was uncomfortable for me :3 they definitely work better the right way hahah Hope I helped! X

How often should I switch pairs of contact lenses?
Q. I have six pairs of contact lenses that should last me the next year. I wore one pair of contacts for almost four months without any problems, but now that I have these six new pairs, I'm wondering if I should just switch them every two months or should I just keep wearing the one pair until I feel the need to switch them out? Does it make any kind of difference? I have really healthy eyes and no problems with my contacts up until now, but this is the first time I've worn contacts (save for that first trial pair), so I am a little green when it comes to this stuff.
Asked by damnfkinidiots - Fri Aug 11 00:34:50 2006 - Tattoos - 7 Answers - Comments
A. In most cases, the disposable contacts are made of the same material as long-wear lenses. They are just packaged differently. As long as you keep your lenses clean and enzyme them regularly, there should be no problem. But if you start to develop any irritation, toss them and leave the contacts out until it is completely cleared. Also, do not switch brands of solutions while wearing the same pair of lenses. If you want to switch, toss the old lenses, and use only the new product on the next pair. Switching solutions midstream will not hurt your eyes, but the chemical reaction of the different solutions can damage your lenses. As always, for best results, do as your optometrist recommends.

Is it safe to wear blue contact lenses on top of all white contact lenses?
Q. I recently bought some blue contact lenses but because my eyes are so dark, you wouldn't be able to see them. I already own some all white contact lenses (that are basically white on both sides) and thought that if I attached the blue ones onto the white ones and placed the contacts on my eye (from the white side) you would be able to see them. This was in fact the case after I tried them on. Is this in any way unsafe?

A. you definatly should NOT wear more that 1pair of contacts in each eye, you will end up hurting yourself, or even losing the lense in the back of your eye, which is not fun..Dont do it!

How do you add multiple email addresses under one contact to a category?
Q. I coach and parents often give me 2-3 email addresses for contacting them. In the past I've been able to create a category, add the contacts, then edit the category and add the add'l email addresses for each contact. I cannot find this capability on the new contacts in yahoo. Anyone else having this problem or have a solution (without adding a contact for each email address)? Thanks
Asked by R J - Tue Nov 24 11:54:42 2009 - Address Book & Calendar - 1 Answers - Comments
A. The only way I know is by adding them individually, and in the "Nicknames" or right after the first name (no spaces) identify the specific email address. Be sure to "Save" As you identify each, within their information sheet, set them up in the categories needed. Both jobs at once. Sorry there does not seem to be a better way.

How to copy an existing contact in Yahoo mail?
Q. If I have an existing contact, can I copy the contact with all information and change the name for a new contact. In other words, multiple contacts within the same company.
Asked by Help1 - Tue May 4 13:51:18 2010 - Address Book & Calendar - 1 Answers - Comments
A. If these Contacts have different e-adds, no. What _I_ would do is (w/ Y! M open) open a word processor blank document & then copy from E-m to the WP sheet all the identical stuff - you can toggle between Y! and the WP program via + . Once the stuff is on the WP "sheet", add a New Contact. Enter his/her name @ e-add, then copy the info off the sheet & paste INTO Y! When you've finished pasting, save the changes. Add Contact, yada, yada, yada.

How do I contact Disney to ask about their affiliations oversea with questionable entities?
Q. I recently saw some ads for Disney Live! performances oversea. Not a big deal, I know, but the problem is that the company that's putting on the performance is a subsidiary of a major arms manufacturer that's known for, among other things, the export of missiles and other weapons to questionable parts of the world. Anyone know how to contact Disney to ask them about why they choose to do business with this kind of company? A. Although pop-ups and other ads help pay for free sites like Yahoo, they are a bother to us all.
