A. The address to contact her is through her agency. It is doubtful that a direct home address is available to the public. But this should help: Lindsay Lohan c/o Endeavor 9601 Wilshire Blvd 3rd Floor Beverly Hills, CA 90210

What do you think of Blockbuster UK's Top Ten Movie Speeches of All Time?
Q. This link to the BBC (a safe site!) shows the Top Ten in a UK survey, and I feel the American results would be similar. What do you think of the Ten? Any speeches you would have included? Any you disagree with? Thanks!

A. Wow! I was surprised this one was in it. 7. Ewan McGregor, Trainspotting (1996): Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family, Choose a big television, Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends... Choose your future. Choose life. It's a messed up diddy, but I love it.

Even as "entertainment", what does one derive from violence?
Q. Blockbuster prides itself that it offers no adult movies, yet row after row, after row shows and makes available to JQ Public the most horrific, violent, macbre forms of "entertainment" that make me personally shake my head. Killing a person seems to be more "valid" than creating one. Myself, YES, I do go to some video stores to rent "adult" entertainment. I love the female form(as do 90% of men) and never tire of looking at beautiful woman(and this is not degrading to woman, just as natural as the function of breathing), and visually, the end result(with or without female company), is that I am sexually aroused, or worked up, ending in the obvious. But violence...when someone takes their family to watching wrestling where grown men… [cont.]

A. violence is easier for parents to talk to their kids about, its easy to explain what is wrong about violence and why kids shouldn't be violent, because kids are already most likely a little violent. I think sex is a very tough subject for parents to discuss. And most parents don't even want their kids to have sex, especially their daughters. oh killing people isn't more valid than creating people, but people in porn are just having sex, not creating life. Porn doesn't teach the necessity of sex.

Road trip entertainment in car?
Q. We am driving out to Colorado this Thanksgiving. We go each year to Denver to visit our relatives and ski. However, we have never driven over 8 hours in a car. We hate to drive so we usually fly everywhere. However, with the economy being down and plane tickets being ridiculously high, we have to take the long trip out. So here's my question: I have a laptop and I bought a car charger for it so I can use it in the car. What could I do on my laptop in the car when I obviously have no Internet access on the road. I already have computer games, music, and stuff like that but does anyone have any other ideas? A good site to download games would be nice. Any suggested movies to rent to your laptop from blockbuster.com would be good too. … [cont.]

A. I have family in MT & KY and I've traveled the 31 hour trip, only stopping for gas every 6 hours, numerous times. Cross word books, magazines, snacks, hand held card games or other hand held games (look in board game section at wal mart), book, stuff that you can include the driver on would be good, they need some entertainment too. Myspace Movies: Maid of Honor, Tropic Thunder, Kung Fu Panda,

Has Life itself become a spectacle used by the media to entertain us, and what does this mean to our own lives
Q. In an age dominated by so many "blockbusters" written in the media of life (O. J. Simpson Trial, Angelina Jolie + Brad Pitt's baby, the Terry Schiavo case), has entertainment truly conquered reality?
Asked by Scott c - Tue Jul 11 17:59:14 2006 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I think that there is so much chaos & uncertainty in the world, that it seems easier to focus on the problems of others rather than looking in the mirror at our own "stuff." It is sad that it seems that the struggles and real life angst of others has become a cottage industry for Hollywood. Yet, there is always a vicarious thrill, it seems, and an opportunity to elevate one's own value (in their own mind) by comparing themselves to the tribulations of others. (Gee, at least I'm not as bad as that guy...) Some reality tv is inspirational though - such as Project Runway -- the various talent competitions, etc. because it highlights the triumphs and accomplishments of the average shmoe, and that can be rather inspiring for some.

Hi, I was wondering for people who've worked at a video store could help me out with few questions.?
Q. I am 17 years old with many volunteer experience and a work experience but never have been employed for a real job. I've been a little, er, desperate for a job lately, but i'm pretty picky--i dont want to work at a fastfood place, instead i want to work at a video store since it is my biggest interest..(movies, entertainment). I;ve thought about applying for local theatres (my second choice) I would like to know what the age limit is to work at, say blockbuster and the qualifications/skills they would look for or expect. Do the employer train you if you get hired, as well?

A. You have to be at least 18 to work in a video store due to the adult content. I'm not sure about Blockbuster, but I work for Family Video and they look for people that can work effectively in stressful situations, have great customer service skills, can make quick decisions and can work flexable hours (this is the condensed version). Try starting out at the movie theaters until you're 18 and then apply at the video store. Good luck!

Who knows about the Dollar Cinema in Montreal?
Q. There is a cinema in Montreal that is showing movies for ONE dollar. Everything there is one dollar. Entreance, popcorn, soft drinks, etc, etc. And the movies are not old movies either. There are some in english, french, yiddish, indu, etc... I do not mean to advertise here but I've been going there for about two years and saw all those blockbusters for One dollar. It's up to you to look it up in entertainment pages of the newspaper. This is great for families. I thought I would share this information with you all. Sorry, I forgot to say there was free parking and the cinema has big screen and great sound. It is in a shopping mall and the place is clean. ( there are two cinemas in fact.)

A. We have one of those where I live(U.S.), however, the ticket is the only thing that costs a dollar. Actually the price can go from 50 cents to a $1.50 depending on the day and time. The food costs too much and theater is not all that great. Some of the screens are in poor condition. Still, cheap is cheap.

Everybody, Let's guess how much longer can HD-DVD last?
Q. How much longer can HD-DVD last? I'm just asking because it seems like Blu-Ray Disc is pounding it over and over and over, first Blockbuster exclusives to Blu-Ray Disc, then Target to sell only Blu-Ray Disc players, and then now Panasonic says that Blu-Ray will win and they are almost certain, then Blu-Ray Disc picks up Acer. Jeeze, How long will HD-DVD last? I'm guessing Universal is going to go neutral by the end of 2007 which makes a huge blow to HD-DVD because it is HD-DVD's biggest supporter having over 100 titles on HD-DVD, then HD-DVD is going to last until late 2008 until it gets completely obliterated by Blu-Ray Disc after Universal decides to go Blu-Ray Disc exclusive only. Let's not forget to mention that Blu-Ray Disc… [cont.]
Asked by Mr. Le - Thu Aug 30 14:20:26 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Probably for a while. Remember Paramount/Dreamworks just went HD DVD exclusive, which means several major upcoming titles will be on HD DVD only, including Transformers and Shrek 3. Add in the Universal titles like The Bourne Ultimatium and Knocked Up, which remain HD DVD only, there's a lot of stuff only availble on HD DVD. Also, new HD DVD players have been announced coming this fall from Chinese companies (Venturer), which will have an MSRP of $200 (probably less at certain retailers). So HD DVD remains the cheaper option. These two facts lead me to believe HD DVD should be around for a while. It will likely have to co-exist with Blu Ray and dual format players will become more popular.

Should American corporations support LULAC at expense of middle-class Americans?
Q. I received this article which shows a number of American businesses that support LULAC. We all know LULAC is pro-illegal and anti enforcement of our immigration laws...support by these companies undermines middle-class Americans efforts to protect our country and our way of life for future generations. lulac corporate funding: We are going to share, below, the names of corporations who previously donated $10,000.00 to $100,000, to LULAC, in one single year. These corporations need to know that some of their donations are being used to fight ordinances aimed at addressing illegal immigration or legal residency, on a local level, like Farmers Branch did. The laws of our great nation are black and white, and there is NO ROOM for shades of… [cont.]

Any Harry Potter fans out there?
Q. To any Harry Potter fans or anyone who fancies joining us! You must have heard the awful news that The Half Blood Prince film has now been pushed back from November 21st 2008 to July 17th 2009. This is for no reason other than the fact Warner Brothers want a summer blockbuster for next summer, as they have made enough money this summer with The Dark Knight and they want a similar amount next summer. Alan Horn the CEO of Warner Brothers who made this decision has stated I ve seen the movie. It is fabulous. We would have been perfectly able to have it out in November. Which is just kicking us when we are down! So we are letting Warner Brothers know exactly what we think of them and this stupid idea! So please sign the petition. News… [cont.]

Are Soap Opera's a good way for an up and coming actor to make a name for himself?
Q. I'm pursuing an acting career after college and I know the industry is very challenging, but I'm a very determined individual so I have my stuff together and I'm ready to pursue my career. I know offhand that luck isn't going to immediately be on my side and I'm not going to be offered the leading role in an Big budget blockbuster so soon, so I'm simply just taking my time and letting things fall into place. My question though is I've noticed back in the 80's and 90's that a lot of movie stars now began their careers on Soap Operas. I hear people bash soaps all the time talking about how lame the acting is and how cheesy the story lines are, but hell its entertainment right? I wanna know is this a great way to start an acting career and… [cont.]

A. Try the soap operas. I know this much: Many beauty pageant contestants (winners and losers) from around the world become actresses in soap operas, and later move on from there.
